Simply Raw Foods
1 03 2010Did the cave man cook his vegetables on a flame before he ate them? No eat just plucked them off the trees and had it raw. There are many benefits of eating raw foods. The most prominent one being, the enzymes in the raw foods do not get killed off as they do when you cook them.
These enzymes are an essential part of our diet and are required by the body to control various chemical reactions in the body. One of the best sources of these nutritious enzymes is raw sprouts. When you sprout any seed it is a living food which gives you more nutrition than anything else that you can eat.
The benefits of simply eating raw foods were put to the test by a set of six American individuals who had diabetes and were insulin dependent. For a period of 30 days they went off their regular diets and ate just raw foods. The experiment was conducted at the Tree of Life center in Arizona.
These were people who had what was termed ‘incurable’ diabetes. Essentially it meant that they could expect to be on medication for life. Over the 30 days that they ate raw food and were monitored they all saw marked improvement in health.
They all had their blood sugar levels reduced and were no longer insulin dependent. They lost weight and were more physically active. Their skin and eyes were healthy and shining. It was the ultimate testimony of raw foods being the natural food of man.
If you can get over the fixation of processes foods and eat the fresh fruit and vegetables as nature intended you to, you can reverse the direction of many diseases. Diabetes is easy to control if you eat raw foods.
