The fiber is essential to help cleanse the intestines and to keep our digestive track healthy. Fiber also helps to hold water in the body so that we don’t get dehydrated. Adequate fiber in the diet will ensure that you never get constipated or have problems with your bowel motion.
Getting enough fiber is clearly important for the proper functioning of the human body. How does one get a fiber rich diet? By planning to get enough plant based foods in the day. Getting five helpings of fruits and vegetables in the day is a good way to start.
You can ensure that you have one fruit at breakfast time., followed by a fruit and vegetables each at lunch and dinner time. Try and add plant based carbohydrates which are also rich in fiber. Eat whole grain pasta instead of white bread. Make the changes small and sustainable.
