Dry fruits may not seem like a great snack but a handful of mixed nuts is a better alternative to any hunger bar. Pick up almonds, walnuts, dried apricots and raisins to keep hunger at bay while getting vitamin A, iron and dietary fiber into your digestive.

Baby carrots, celery sticks and cucumber circles are also great raw food snack that you can carry around and eat when you get a bit puckish. They are all rich in fiber and vitamins besides being low in sugar which is a major concern for diabetics.
