   Dr. J. Bart Claessen is an immunologist working with Class-en Immunotherapies. it was he who first sought to prove that vaccines are the largest cause of insulin dependent diabetes in children. The study indicated that vaccines caused 80% of cases of type 1 or insulin dependent diabetes in children who got vaccinated after 2 month of birth. The disease would not manifest itself till after four years of getting the immunization shots.

   The vaccines included in the study were pertussis, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B and haemophilus influenza. However it was also found that when children were immunized immediately after birth the chances of developing insulin dependent diabetes were markedly reduced. Some support for the theory was found by the US Centers for Disease Control or CDC. with support of research data which included studies of animals and humans, the conclusion drawn was that if the child was vaccinated in the first month after birth he was at reduced risk for type 1 diabetes.

   At the same time vaccines when given in the second month of the child’s life would make the child far more likely to get insulin dependent diabetes in life. The CDC also proposed that the hepatitis B vaccine would reduce the incidence type 1 diabetes in the children. This is consistent with the findings of the case studies of Dr. Class en.
