Why Are You Fat!

30 11 2011

This is today’s question that everyone is wanting too know. The statistics of obese people are reaching ground breaking records and need to seriously be looked at as a society. Being obese is a disease but there are many people still overweight, are constantly suffering from allergies, have cellulite, and are always sick with something!

All of these issues have nothing to do with your environment, your genetics, or any other excuse you’d like to point your finger to: it is because your body is overly acidic! Acidic means the PH of your blood not having “heartburn.” Your bodily fluid is measured on a PH level of 1-14, with below 7 being acidic to above being alkaline. The healthy state is anywhere between 7.35- 7.45 is optimal. This may be getting into too much detail so let me just keep it in plain and simple terms and explain the reason people are overweight. The issue at hand is that you are consuming too many foods that are acidic to your body and making you overweight.

The S.A.D diet which is the Standard American Diet is very acidic to the body. Foods that the standard North American consumes are cereals, breads, fruit cups, sugary snacks, deli meats, and streaks. These are foods that will bring your body’s PH to a more acidic level also causing weight gain, allergies, cellulite, and a weak immune system.

When looking on the flip side, whole foods like fruits, veggies, and legumes are much more alkalizing to the body. These foods purify and help the body stay energized and maintain in a healthy state. The importance of consuming foods that are alkaline will improve weight issues along with any other issues drastically.

Now to be in a healthy state, you do not want to just eat foods that are alkalizing but some that may be acidic to keep you in prefect balance. Nutritionists they stat to bring yourself to health by eating 80% alkaline foods like greens, fruits, and seeds should be consumed: and 20% acid forming foods like grains and legumes and meat for the meat eaters. When eating majority of the week this way it gives you time to consume your favorite foods later on in the weekend and able to bring your body back in to balance after you have consumed highly acidic foods. Once you can learn to control this everything else will start to fix itself and whenever you need guidance seek an expert nutritionist to naturally guide you to the best state of health that you can be!

Learn The Top 10 Tips About Fat Loss And Healthy Food Choices

29 11 2011

So today I will attempt to give you a “short-cut” distilled out years of experience and accumulated knowledge but first off, the short cut is not for losing weight: it is for losing fat and staying fit. So here then, is my short-cut to fat loss and staying healthy.

   1. Eat a healthy eating breakfast within 15 minutes of waking up in the morning. your body metabolism is in its highest gear early morning and will digest good healthy snack food easily and not store it or convert it into fat. Body metabolism decreases as the day progresses. Your breakfast should therefore be the best meal of the day.

   2. Plan your food portion sizes based on your activity levels. An idling car does not need much fuel. If you are going to have a busy, active day, eat more depending on how busy or active the day is likely to be and vise verse. If you have a problem controlling the quantum of food you eat, buy yourself a portion control plate, portion control bowl and portion control scooper’s.

   3. Create five mini meals out of the other two meals and everything else you might consume in between. These five small or “mini” meals should be consumed at regular intervals. The fifth meal should be consumed roughly two hours before bed time.

   4. Follow the food pyramid chart when planning your meals. Only food that is on that chart should find its way into your plate. An occasional ( no more once a month) portion of pizza or a pastry is fine.

    5. Eat fruit as a meal on its own. Fruit should not be consumed along with your meal instead, make a meal out of fruit and consume it on it’s own. Fruit should be cut and eaten fresh never out of a can. To be effective, fruit should oxidize and break down in your stomach not in a blender or in a factory.

   6. Healthy eating food, activity and common sense form three sides of the good health pyramid. Remove any one and the pyramid collapses. Even if you are retired, stay active so as to utilize the energy from the food you consume. Staying active means incorporating at least 30 minutes of full body movement exercise daily. above all, use common sense in planning what to eat and when to eat and eat food that is in the food pyramid in portions indicated in the Healthy Eating Pyramid.

   7. Drink a lot of water. Your body needs roughly one glass of water every 90 minutes that you are awake. Consciously take it, taste it, swirl it around your mouth and swallow slowly. Water is life enjoy it.

   8. 8 hours of sleep is essential. Sleeping is not a waste of time. Your body needs eight hours of sleep in order to complete the daily maintains activity. During your sleep, bone and tissues are repaired and everything else is replenished and “topped up”. Anything less than eight hours means the maintenance cycle was not completed. Sleep cannot be bifurcated at your convenience it needs to be eight hours at a stretch.

   9. Buy fresh. Plan to shop for groceries and fruits no less than once a week. Twice a week or more is even better. Irrespective of whether or not there are any preservatives and additives, do not buy canned or processed foods. Food begins to decay the moment it is cut into pieces. Also, buy local. Your stomach may have problems digesting exotic foreign grown food.

   10. Cook fresh eat fresh. Always cook your healthy eating meals daily and eat the cooked food on the same day. The lesser the time lag between cooking and eating the better because food begins to break down and decompose the moment it is cooked. With every passing hour, the cooked food whether refrigerated or not, loses its nutritional value. This has been clinically proved. Also, every time you reheat the food, it loses even more nutrition. So cook fresh, eat fresh.

Finally, when you stand on a weight scale, all the weight you see is not far. Body fat is like cotton it weights less but occupies more weight. If you sincerely follow the 10 tips I have started here, you will slowly but surely get back into shape.

Everything You Need To Know About Kettle Bells

27 11 2011

Kettle bells have been around as long as people have been trying to turn flabby physiques into muscle bound bodies, with a touch of grace. The effect of using kettle bells is not the overly muscular physique normally associated with weight lifters and strong men but a toned but incredibly strong body. In thus article I will detail some of the great qualities kettle bells can offer you.

How Does a Kettle bell Look Like

First let’s look at what a kettle bell actually looks like. Simply put it resembles a cannonball with a handle attached. It is an amazingly simple design however in this simplicity lays it strengthens. The kettle bell also goes by its Russian name girya, however it is well known that some strong men get so attached to their bells that they give them a pet name. However you refer to it the effect will be the same.

The kettle bells themselves are made from cast iron and traditionally are measured in poods. A pooed is the equivalent to 16 kilograms or about 36 pounds if you prefer the imperial system. They come with a metal handle some of which are covered in rubber like materials. This is to a make the ballistic exercises associated with kettle bell training a little easier on the hands.

   Where Do You Start

When you begin your kettle bell training you will want to start with a lighter weight kettle bell. Even a light one will offer more than enough strength benefits. It is important with your training that you do not use a larger weight that you can comfortably handle. concentrate instead on making sure that your form and technique is optimal and worry about lifting those heavy bells later. As you progress in your training you will be able to increase the weight of the kettle bells that you use. Kettle bells can be expensive so it may be advisable to use a gym when you begin your training until you are certain what type of weights you will be using. You can then purchase the weights that are right for you. If you know someone who already has a set this maybe another option for you. You will probably at some point want to purchase your own kettle bells however. One of the great things about kettle bells is that they don’t take up much space. This means they are a great fitness tool to have around the home. They can be placed in a cupboard or under the bed when not in use and so are appropriate for those with even tight living quarters.

   Benefits of Kettle bell Training

One of the best things about kettle bells is the role in strengthening connective tissues, in particular in a bad back. The back strengthening role of the kettle bell training means that it can fix and rehabilitate many a bad back. You will need however to consult with your medical professional first to make sure that they are an appropriate fitness tool for you.

Another great benefit of kettle bells is their costs. They are more expensive than buying individual weight plates but you only need a few of them ( some get away with a single kettle bell). Combine this with the fact they are basically indestructible and you have a great piece of equipment.

Kettle bells offer the full fitness package. If you want strength, explosive power, flexibility and endurance. While getting a fat burning workout which will with a lean graceful body then you really cannot do better than a set of kettle bell.

Why Are These Foods Are Super Foods And Why?

26 11 2011

I don’t know about you but I have been hearing a lot about so called super foods. In fact many people are calling foods super that have been around for as long as I can remember. Like broccoli, blueberries, avocados, and other everyday foods. It is true that compared to the highly processed packaged food in the super market these simple common fresh foods are super. What if you are someone food items still considered super to them.

We know that the reason some common vegetables and fruits are called super foods is because they have nutritional benefits that are highly beneficial to our health, especially when we eat a lot of them.

Back about 50 years or so, there was not much talk about foods being super. I suppose that was because there were not that much unhealthy processed foods available. So there wasn’t a distinction between the vast amount of unhealthy foods available today and healthy fresh whole foods. So foods as common and simple as broccoli or blueberries didn’t need to be considered foods as nutritionally super.

There is also another group of foods that are called super foods, these are less common and are actually super, in the sense that they are power packed with concentrated nutrition. These foods, also known as supplements come from botanical sources that have extraordinary nutritional qualities that the common vegetable or fruit does not have. These whole foods come from rain forests or high in the mountains, they are wild grown and grow in virgin organic soil. They have not been diluted or adulterated by human manipulations. Instead they are carefully nurtured into super foods that are natural medicine. They are so beneficial for the human body that they can create true optimal health or what is known as homeostasis. ( normal body function).

Most people in western modern culture do not enjoy normal bodily function. Instead their bodies are out of balance and they suffer from a wide array of ailments and illnesses.

Super foods whether in the form of the common fresh nutritious fruits and vegetables or concentrated high nutrition botanical supplements are much needed by most people today.

It’s important to take the time to do some study about what healthy food really is and what a truly healthy diet consist of. When you do your study you will find that it is not that easy in today’s market pace to get what you need to provide yourself with protection from all the toxins and poor nutrition in common everyday foods.

Super food nutrition’s fills the gaps, it’s like the extra additive that you might add to your gas tank if you get low quality gas for your car. Most studies done by major medical research groups show that most people in the American culture need to supplement their diets to get a sufficient amount of nutrition to stay healthy.

Everyday new studies are showing that most major disease and illness including cancer are caused by nutritional imbalance. Unfortunately the pharmaceutical and some parts of the medical industry would like to suppress and hide these studies. If the truth is widely know then instead of everybody taking pharmaceutical drugs to chase symptoms, people will be eating super foods and they will heal and re balance their bodies.

Time are changing and word is getting out that poor nutrition and lifestyle habits are the reason for the out of control ill health of our American population.

Super foods to the rescue, take a closer look, study the facts and you too will want to get super foods in you everyday!

It’s Time To Take Control Of Your Health

25 11 2011

It’s no secret that many people don’t care about their health until it is too late. People abuse their bodies with all kinds of toxic foods on a daily basis for years and years. Then, when their heart starts to fail, their liver starts to shut down, and their kidneys are degenerating, and then people will invest their last cent to try to get back healthy again. Often, by that time, it is much too late, and their lives are pretty much set in the direction of sickness and ill health. So how can you take control of your health?

3 Steps to Taking Control of Your Health

While there are extenuating circumstances, such as cancer, inherited diseases and accidents, your physical health is closely tied to your psychological health. The mind and body are intimately tied and connected. To experience proof of this, simply imagine being lost in a strange rural, at night.

Your car has broken sown, and there is hardly a sign of civilization for many kilometers around. As you walk the dirt road, in an attempt to find a gas station or lodging of some sort, you notice a large shadow of some creature about three times as big as you, possibly a bear. As you’re reading this, you may have had a slight internal shift. Your palms may have gotten a little sweaty, hands may have been a little shaky or your heart rate may have increased just a little.

Your emotional state inside affects how your body responds physically. Let’s look at the three steps to taking control of your health.

    1. Work with your mind- since your mental state, which includes your thoughts and emotions, affects your body physically, you can use this to your advantage. Find ways to completely let go and relax on a daily basis for at least a total of one hour at a time. If you have trouble meditating, simply sit in a quiet place and attempt to anticipate your next thought. The simple act of anticipating what your next though will be will stop thoughts from coming through. Try it: it’s simple but very effective.

   2. Drinks lots of water and eat lots of fresh, raw fruits and vegetables- our human ancestors didn’t have McDonald’s or KFC. They did not have stoves either. Instead, they ate natural foods in their natural state. This is what your body was designed to eat, not the synthetic and chemically laden, processed foods that most in our society.

   3. Have fun changing your life style- one of main causes of failure in dieting, exercising and getting in shape is that people are so focused on the results that they forgot to have fun. Exercising and eating healthy can be fun. It’s just that people are programmed by the culture to develop a preference for unhealthy foods through bombardment of advertising for fast foods and chemically processed foods. Find ways to make exercising more pleasurable, and begin to shift your focus from achieving a result, to actually enjoying the process.

In summary, experiencing a healthy life style is not just about eating right and exercising. It’s about a total comprehensive change to health, which includes the mind, heart and body. When you approach your health from a holistic angle, your chances of success are greatly increased.

Have You Ever Decided To Take A Break From Your Exercise Routine? Here Is 5 Tips To Get Back On Track And Stay There!!!

24 11 2011

Have you ever decided to take a break from your exercise routine? Or are you new to exercise and just don’t know how to get started? I want to give you 5 tips that would be useful to those that have taken a break from your workouts or for those who are just starting out.

   1) What is your focus/ motivation?

This is key to anything that you do. You clean your clothes because if you don’t, you have a mess and no clothes to wear. You get on the Internet and check Face-book because you feel it’s a great way to stay connected to your family and friends. So why do we workout? Here’s a few ideas.

   1) You want to be healthy

   2) You love the way it makes you feel

   3) Your doctor told you to

   4) You want to look good

   5) You need more energy

   6) You want to show some ex or someone else that you can look great!

   7) You need that me time

   8) You need that recognition from somebody else

   9) You want to be healthy and be round when your kids ( or grand kids) grow-up and get married

It needs to be a good reason. Something that keeps you motivated and driven.

You need a focus that worked for you! It will help you get through those tough days when you want to forget your workout.

This is the most important of the 5 tips to staying on track with your exercise program, so make sure that you sit down, put pen to paper, and really decide why it is that you want to exercise and get healthy.

   2) Find something you like doing

Who wants to go running if you don’t like to run? Or work out indoors, when you much rather prefer to be outside in the fresh air? Do you like kick boxing, lifting weights, yoga, Pilate’s, running, walking, swimming, dancing, hiking, classes, individual, outside, inside? Do you need someone to push you? Or want to workout with others. Do you want to workout at home or at the gym? Find something you like and stick to it. You’re more likely to quit if you don’t enjoy what you’re doing.

Tip 2 of 5 to stay on track with your exercise program is find something that you really enjoy doing, that gets you moving and your heart pumping, and get going Spend at least 30 minutes daily doing it.

   3) Schedule your workout

Find a time that fits for you. Here’s some things to think about

   Before or after work

When the kids are awake or asleep

   During nap time

   In the morning or afternoon

When do you have the most energy and motivation?

Do you need to do it before everyone gets up or after everyone goes to bed?

What time is good for you? Schedule it in your planner and don’t schedule over it. Also, try to make it the same time everyday, it’s easier to stick to that way.

Tip  3 of 5 to stay on track with your exercise program is schedule it! You’re worth it!

   4) When starting out, take it easy

Whether you’re just starting out, or have taken a break, don’t expect to be able to go all out. This, is one I learned recently. I had to take a break from exercise for medical reasons, but after a couple of weeks out. I thought I could just jump back in. Well, let me tell you, I can’t push as hard as I had been. I’m not used to working out. So, instead, I focus on getting through the workout, rather than trying to complete with what the girl is doing on my TV.

Tip 4 of 5 Tip to stay on track with your exercise program is listen to your body…it knows what you can and can’t do.

   5) Drink Water

This one is essential. If you are even slightly dehydrated you will lose energy and not be able to get through your workout. you wake up every morning dehydrated, so start early and get in your water. There’s several ways to determine how much you need. These are the two most used ones

   8-8 oz glasses/ day ( or 64 oz)

    or

take your body weight, divide in half, and drink that many ounces

    if you weight 150 lbs

   150/ 2 = 75

you need to drink 75 oz of water/ day

The second is a little more tailored to you and your body. But the key is to make sure you stay well hydrated. Drink before, during, and after your workout.

And tip number 5 to staying on track with your exercise program is to listen to your body, but it’s all about your mind!!!

Would You Consider It A Revelation That Your Most Lethal Weapon In The Battle Of Your Health Issue Is Your Attitude?

23 11 2011

What would you consider is your most valuable tool for staying in shape? Is it your treadmill? What about your weight set? Is it your arsenal of low-fat cookbooks, and low-carb diet snacks? What about your collection of workout videos?

Would your consider it a revelation that your most lethal weapon in the battle of your health issues is your Attitude?

Think about it. What good is your treadmill if you don’t have the energy to get on it, or can’t get up the motivation to crank up the speed, or the elevation? How useful are your dumbbells if you can’t push yourself to use them in the most effective manner? How good is a nutrition program that you can’t stick to? How much fat loss will you get out of your workout videos if you just can’t seem to get as motivated as that bouncy cheerleader who is urging you to jump higher, or that buff macho man who keeps saying, “C’mon, just one more rep!”?

No, none of those tools is going to get you very far unless your HEAD is in the right place. As you read this article, you have probably already been exposed to more nutrition and exercise information than you could possibly ever need to actually stay in shape. You’ve probably read, listened to, or watched the answers to your fitness issues enough times to win the next Mr. or Mrs> Neighbored fitness competition a dozen times over! Yet, you are still not where you want to be. Why?

   Attitude….

   Seeing Your Goal:

Do you have a clear vision in your head of where you want to be, or what you want to accomplish when you are at a peak level of fitness? I don’t mean just some vague idea- I’m talking about an actual burning mental image of a six-pack sets of abs, or a nice set of curves, or a clear picture of you just being healthy. If you don’t have that, you are already just spinning your wheels. How can you expect to get somewhere if you don’t know where that “somewhere” is?

Many people start out very motivated to get in shape, or to complete for that prize, but their motivation lacks focus-laser-targeted precision that will guide them down the right path. The term ” as the crow flies” come to mind. If you could leave your house and drive in an exact straight line to your destination, don’t you think that you would get there a lot faster? What if you could just fly through stop lights and intersections, disregard all posted speed limits, and go exactly in a straight line to every destination? You sure would get there a lot faster!

Exercise, physical fitness, and nutrition are no different. If you don’t have a clearly mapped out and measurable road map to your success, then you will stray, and that will cost you time at the very least WHERE you want to be, HOW you are going to get there, and most importantly, WHY you want to be there. Take the time to do that, and I think you’ll see that your previous path may have been road blocked by a few too many trips to Starbucks for a Caramel Frappuccino. Not that anyone writing a fitness article such as this would know anything about that…

   Believing In Your Ability:

Okay, so you’re got yourself a good mental picture. You have your road map in front of you, your path is straight and true, and you are ready to get started. What comes next? Belief…

Do you believe it is possible to wave a magic wand and have all of your excess body fat gone, and all of your fitness goals realized in the blink of an eye? Of course not. If you do, and you know the secret, please contact me. I’m sure we could make some money on that secret! For everyone else, I’ll ask a different question. Do you believe that you could sit on your coach, suck down some ice cream, and put on some more body fat? The answer is, unfortunately, yes.

What is the difference between those two question? Very simple, one is possible and one is not. What does that have to do with your fitness goals? Your Health Goals! Well, it may come as a surprise, but you have been dealing in the IMPOSSIBLE for quite sometime now. You have been striving for a goal, yet not really believing that it was within your power to reach it.

Oh sure, you may have just join a gym, or brought a new treadmill, but did you really believe that you were going to do it this time? If you are reading this and you are in perfect physical condition, then congratulation! You did It! For the rest of you, are you seeing the point? You didn’t truly believe it, because otherwise it would have happened.

Each of us shelters hidden either very deeply or sometimes NOT so deeply a seed of doubt that we will really succeed. When that seed is there whether it is planted deeply or not, your subconscious waters it and feeds it. The next thing you know, it is has grown into entire field of self-limiting beliefs, and you have neither the time or the desire to get out there in the field and destroy that evil crop!

What are you to do, then? BELIEVE IN YOURSELF! Why? The answer to that is simple because you are the only one who truly can. Others may support you, and they may even show you the path, but it is YOU who has to walk it.

   Taking Action:

We have cover the need for you to clearly see your goal, and for you to use the power of belief to start walking down that path, but what’s next?

The next step is the same as it is for an aspiring business owner, or a college freshman, or a artist staring at a blank canvas, you have to TAKE ACTION. You can read the top 2 sections of this article all day long, but doing so won’t burn off any body fat, or pack any muscle tissues onto your body. Only appropriately carried out action can do that.

Think of all the self-help books that you have read, or programs that you have watched on TV, or listened to on the radio. Did any of them do you any good whatsoever if you didn’t take action on what you had learned? What about what you have read so far in this article? Has it been helpful? Most likely. Will it do you any good if you don’t take action? Nope, Negative, No Way, Nada. You get the picture.

Why are you still here? Get out there and Take Action! Now… Your Life Depends On It! Doesn’t It?

Why Are Our Children So Sick? It’s Called Voluntary Chemical Suicide!

21 11 2011

    It’s called voluntary chemical suicide!

Something is terribly wrong in a society where the children are all physically and mentally sick. Undoubtedly, our children are the future wouldn’t you agree? Our responsibility as parents is to do all we can to protect their health. Empower them to lead happy, productive, and meaningful lives. The reality is the patterns of disease in children have changed dramatically in the past century. Our children are sick and suffering because of the toxic chemicals they eat, bathe in, and breath! Currently there are over 75,000 toxic chemicals in use today. Most have never been tested for safety where our children are concerned. Yet, they are allowed within children’s foods and products. Pesticides are particularly harmful to a child’s developing brain. Clinical studies reveal pesticides absolutely lower a child’s intelligence and are strongly linked to childhood cancers. Pesticides are meant to destroy an insects nervous system. Just what do you think pesticides are doing to your children?

The answer to the epidemic of sickness has been in plain site all along. The proverbial elephant in the room. The reason for the rampant sickness can be found in every Americans food pantry. It is time parents know the real truth about the harmful chemicals in foods. And start protecting the greatest hope we have for a peaceful and healthy future. It is said our children make up 20% of the population and 100% of our future. What will the future hold for children of this world? It is decision time. Time to choose health over suffering. The children of today are on toxic overload facing epidemic levels of physical and mental illness. We have got to stop this madness. To stop being so accepting of illness within our children on any level. When did it become mainstream thought to think disease is inevitable?

The increased incidence of childhood cancers alone is the first clue something is going terribly wrong. Cancer is only second to injuries sustained as the leading killer of children in the United States. Brain cancer in our children has increased by nearly 40%. Asthma rates, the leading cause of childhood admissions to hospitals, has doubled in occurrence. Developmental and learning disabilities are overwhelming our school systems. The diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorders has jumped 400% in the last 20 years. I haven’t even begun to mentioned the epidemic levels of diabetes, depression and obesity in children. In never ceases to amaze me regarding the lack of mass media coverage the epidemic our children are facing gets. The health of our children is the greatest issue facing our world and no one is covering it.

The toxic tipping point becomes evident when your child’s body is unable to detox out the toxins and disease becomes his reality. The foundation for all disease states is toxic overload and malnutrition. Infants and children are especially vulnerable to toxic chemicals because they tend to absorb them faster and have greater difficulty eliminating them. A child’s liver and kidneys are immature and can’t excrete toxins as efficiently as adults. Their bodies store the toxic compounds and over time the accumulation becomes more than a child’s small body can manage. This build up of poisons slowly diminishes their overall health, physically and mentally. One toxic chemical stored within a child’s body would be bad enough but we are talking about a chemical soup of hundreds of toxic chemicals. If not thousands.

Parents have a false illusion that just because a product is on the market it is safe to eat or use on their children. Parents have been sold a deception of great magnitude. Just because a product has been set out on the selves for you to buy doesn’t means it is safe for your children. Take artificial colors for example they are made from petroleum. Cheese flavored foods get their great taste from any label! Don’t get me started on the artificial sweeteners, Aspartame. Which by the way, damaged the health of every lab animal who consumed it. Wake from your slumber and begin to think for yourselves. To choose health over suffering for their children’s sake. Fir that matter, the world’s sake.

Parents begun to question why your children so sick: physically and mentally? Begin to connect the dots seeing through the veil of sickness and deception. Be come inspired to want more health not settling for the epidemic of sickness. Stop buying into the lunacy of chemical dead foods and a pill for every ailment. Start educating yourselves regarding the dangers of chemically processed foods tell the difference between truth and deception. And the best part once you stop the influx of toxic chemicals your child’s behavior will almost immediately change for the better.

All that is required of our food supply to continue in this manner is your compliance and complete acceptance. It is time parents started doing their homework and digging for the hidden information. Then, start voting with their hard earned income. Believe me the minute food manufacturing companies figure out you are not willing to buy their chemical concoctions they will start providing the healthy food you are demanding or go out of business. You know the old adage money talks. it is time we start speaking up with your wallet.
