As A Diabetic Take A Long Hard Look At Your Future!!!

28 11 2011

552 Million People Could Have Diabetes By 2030, Experts Say Many, Many Case Still Preventable…

Diabetes and its complications can be life threatening. It can become very strenuous and life altering Short term complication can happen very quickly. And the long term complication are deadly!

Here I list some of the complication arising due to your diabetes,

Atherosclerosis: In simple words is the hardening of arteries, which can lead to coronary arterial disease, peripheral arterial disease, a stroke or even a heart attack.

Diabetic Retinopathy: It is an eye disease without any early symptoms and warnings and and can lead to loss of your sight.

Diabetic Neuropathy: It is a kidney disease and again without any early symptoms and this will lead into kidney failure.

Diabetic Neuropathy: This is a nerve disease, which effects internal organs and causes loss of sensation of your fingers and feet.

Sexual Dysfunction:  Basically you lose the interest for sex. Not because you want too> Because your body will not allow you too.

Risk of Tuberculosis: It is increased due to uncontrolled hyperglycemia and since tuberculosis is an airborne disease it is difficult to protect a diabetic from contracting it.

Adhesive Capsulises: Also known as ” frozen shoulder”, it is a condition in which the individual loses mobility in the shoulder joint over a period of time and it is a very painful condition to live with.

Depression: and diabetes go hand in hand to make the individuals life miserable.

Alzheimer’s Disease: Your at higher to develop Alzheimer’s as a diabetic.

Dementia: As a diabetic you are mostly likely to develop some type of dementia.

Amputation of Limbs: As a diabetic when you develop diabetic neuropathy which is loss of sensation of feet, you will not feel when the time comes if you step on something. And you high risk of infections, which is mostly liking to end up with a amputation within time.

Osteoporosis or Osteoarthritis: Bones become weak due to which one can easily develop fracture. And even cause joint cartilage to disintegrate which further leads to arthritis of joints.

Diabetic Coma: That’s can happen when your blood sugars are to low. On the other side when your blood sugar get to high too. This is way it is so important to learn to manage this deadly disease.

Although the above mentioned complication arising due to diabetes are overwhelming, there is a lot that one can do to protect oneself through blood glucose control, EXERCISE AND DIET.

Or Death!!!

>>>How To Detect Drama Of The Diabetic Syndrome<<<

26 07 2011

When sugar becomes trapped and begins to increase in the blood stream, eating sugar at this point can be life-threatening. Not having enough glucose reaching the cells and organs of the body can also be fatel. If the heart cells run out of glucose, heart failure occurs. If the kidney cells run out of glucose, kidney failure occurs. If the eyes don’t get their glucose, eyesight will fail. The same applies to a sugar-straved liver, pancreas, stomach, brain, muscle and even bones cells. By not receiving enough glucose, the body begins craving foods, especially heart congestion or cancer.

Because type 2 diabetes affects the health of every single one of the 60 trillion cells in the body, diabetics are predisposed to developing virtually every type of disorder there is. This has been denied by medical science for many years, but has recently been verified through major medical resaerch. The majority of the chronic disorders plaguing our modern world today, including heart disease, cancer, arthritis, MS, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s etc…, may in actual fact not be seperate diseases at all. While sharing the same cause or causes, they manifest themselves in different parts of the body as unique symptoms of disease. There will come a time when the practicing physician will recognize that diabetes, cancer, heart disease and dementia, for example share the same underlying causes and therefore require the same treatment.

At the beginning stages of type 2 diabetes, the pancreas tries to respond to the increasing congestion of the blood vessel walls ( with excessive proteins) and possibly, to an excessive sugar or starch consumption, by secreting extra large amounts of insulin. By constantly producing dosproportionate amounts of insulin, the cells become even further resistent to insulin. By blocking out insulin ( along with vital nutrients) the cells try protecting themselves against the cell-damaging effects of too much insulin, or otherwise they would have to face cell mutation. Eventually, though, through intricate hormonal feedback mechanisms and enzyme signals, the pancreas recgnizes both the increase in blood sugar levels and the shortage of cellular sugar, proteins and fatty acids. So the pancreas begins to deactivate, destroy or ‘put to sleep’ a large number of its insulin producing cells. this practically sets the stage for non-insulin dependent diabetes to become insulin- dependent diabetes.

There are a number of other reasons that may lead to reduced insulin output by the pancreas. When the basal membranes of blood capillaries supplying the pancreas with nutrients become congested with protein fiber, insulin production and other important functions, such as production of digestive enzymes, become suppressed. The same occurs when stones in the bile ducts of the liver and gallbladder drastically reduce bile secretion. In an increasing number of individuals, bile sludge consisting of small cholesterol stones enters the common bile duct and gets caught up in the Ampulla of Vater ( where the common bile duct and pancreatic duct meet). Bile activites pancreatic enzymes before they enter the small intestine to aid in the digestion of foods. If bile flow is restricted, not all of the enzymes dispatched by the pancreas are activated. Any of thes usused enzymes remaining in the pancreas can damage or destroy pancreatic cells, which leads to pancreatitis- a common cause of diabetes and pancreatic cancer. In any case, the inability of the pancreas to produce enough insulin can be a lifesaver at least temporarily.

Chronic disease is only chronic for as long as its causes are still intact. Insulin injection is the very thing that keep the person from recovering. It continues to increase the cells resistance to insulin, and forces the pancrease to destroy an ever-increasing number of insulin producing cells. There are plenty of natural things that can replace injection with insulin. Just one teaspoon of ground cinnamon per day can balance blood sugar. Turmeric is an amazing herb/spice with similar effect. Broccoli and other vegetables as well as regular full body exposure to sunlight ( vitamin D- generating), have superior blood sugar-regulating effects than potentially dangerous insulin injections.

Abstaining from proteins foods, cleansing the liver of stones, eating a balanced deit and living a balanced lifestyle are much more effective means of restoring normal body functions than just trying to fix one symptom of disease. by taking responsibility for their health, and therefore their life, the diabetic has the opportunity to put the sweetness back into his cells and thus into thier life.

You Think Life SUCKS As A Diabetic, Your Life Will Really Suck When You Develop These Complications!!!

19 07 2011

Diabetes is a common disease that seems to affect many people and cause many diabetes complications to occur. There are many side effects and complications of the disease. The disease can affect some specific parts of the body. This is the reason for you to try and control the disease as early as possible. Early identification of the disease and appropriate precautions will prevent many if not all of the diabetes complications.

Some of the common complication caused in diabetes are listed here.

   1. Diabetic Neuropathy: The neuropathy is the damage to the nerve that occurs because of increased diabetic levels. Neuropathy causes damage to the muscle and there can be muscle weakness or paralysis. Other than this, the sensation in the foot or other parts of the body may also be lost. This in turn leads to diabetic foot complications including foot ulcers. Foot ulcers are the leading cause of amputations in diabetics.

   2. Diabetic Retinopathy: Retinopathy is nothing but damage to the retina. As the diabetes is uncontrolled in nature, the nerves that help in proper vision are affected. Many people start becoming blind because of the retinopathy. It is important to reduce the complications of diabetes by regularly visiting the Ophthalmologist to get the eye checked.

   3. Diabetic Vasculopathy: Lack of blood supply to the extremities is also another major problem in diabetes. Vasculopathy is a diabetic complication that can lead to the formation of gangrene. This can also lead to amputations of the lower limb. Since this is a severe diabetes complications, prevention is the key.

   4. Amputations: Though amputations are not a direct diabetes complication, there are many people who suffer from diabetes undergoing amputation to prevent septicemia from occurring. The neuropathy and vasculopathy that is seen in diabetes is a deadly combination that can kill a person. Any injury to the foot or even other parts of the body can cause the wound to become bigger.

Lack of blood supply delays the healing of the wound. There is also a high risk of infection in the wound. All this can cause septicemia to occur. When septicemia occurs, the risk of the patient dying increases. Amputation is the only option that is left to save the life of the person. On the other hand, many research studies have shown that amputation can lead to a decreased quality of life. Amputations will also increase the mortality rate of the person because of various related diabetes complications.

A Real Threat Throughout Our World…TODAY!!!

1 07 2011

Around the world today, the threat of diabetes and obesity is very worrying. What is the solution on the treat that this alarming? And is there any proves treatment for diabetes in the market today?

Whether you believe it or not, the number of diabetics in the world is increasing every year. According to the International Diabetes Federation statistics, people with diabetes worldwide is currently about 285 million people. And this number is increasing. The figure is expected to hit the 438 million people in 2030 to clarify.

In Malaysia, it is a sudden increase in diabetes, from 1.4 million in 2006 to 1.8 million in 2010 and that number will increase to 2.5 million people by 2030.

Most people with type 2 diabetes due to failure of the pancreas to produce sufficient insulin, while type 1 diabetes people pancreas is not working directly. People with type 2 diabetes often have blood lipid levels and cholesterol levels and increase the risk of cardiovascular disease.

This is the underlying cause of many deaths of type 2 diabetes. There are two types of risk factors of type 2 diabetes, it is risk factors remain and may change.

Risk factors remained, the genetic factors, age and ethnicity, while risk factors may change, involves weight loss and physical activity.

Other factors that cause diabetes are weight loss and physical activity. If a person’s weight is growing up obese, the higher the risk of diabetes and a person who is disabled also face the same risk.

The impact of diabetes on a person is very large and offered many complications. It is the sixth disease that causes death and at the same time reduce the life expectancy of five hing sufferer to 10 years.

Diabetics are also at risk of cardiovascular disease between two and four  times in addition to experience nerve damage, amputation, blindness and  kidney failure.

Looking at the number of people living with diabetes today and the expected future, a warning is very worrying and needs attention. Once we assume that the disease involves only the rich only, but now the scenarios has changed since it also occurs in people who live the city.

Within a decade, more rural communities suffering from diabetes. The increase in the number of diabetes people are associated with obesity, so it is called diabesity.

Most people cannot control blood glucose levels as normal extent of this disease causes blood glucose levels rise. Although the treatment of existing diabetes, over 60 percent of people with type 2 diabetes do not achieve good blood glucose control.

Some treatments for diabetes cause a person to experience weight gain and is often associated with the risk of hypoglycemia. It is a condition of the blood glucose level is below normal levels can cause serious signs of coma.

Therefore it is important for us to control our diet and take foods and fruits as recommended by nutritionists as well as adopt a healthy lifestyle to avoid the diabetes.

Make A Sport If You Are Suffering From Diabetes!!!

31 05 2011

Improve your health make sport if you are suffering of diabetes!

For a diabetic, an exercise program is a real medicine to maintain your blood sugar under control.

The best thing a diabetic can do id to remain or to become  active, because in both types of diabetes sport is extremely important for your health.

Which are the benefits that sports are bringing in a diabetic lifestyle?

One of the most significant benefits is that in the easiest forms of diabetes, exercise program can halt the disease.

The exercise lowers blood glucose level, maintain optimal body weight, reduce insulin requirements and, of course, the oral medication. The medication. the exercise maintain the health, generally speaking.

A very  important aspect is that while diabetic increases the risk of cardiovascular disease, sport reduces this risk.

You know the diabetes is a condition that raise specific questions, so it’s very important to consult your diabetes doctor, before you design the exercise programs.

Most appropriate activities to control the disease, reducing cardiovascular disease and improve health are aerobic exercises such as running, cycling, and swimming, preformed at high intensity until speech may become difficult.

You can get maximum benefit for your health by moving for 30 minutes, three times a week minimum.

Do not forget that there are athletes who are insulin dependent, but they participate in sports competitions, with very good results health.

If you haven’t done sports before, remember that any activity is better then none for your health: you can start slowly, with walking- drop the car, climbing stairs, walking and gradually increasing the duration and the walking speed.

Like every challenge, the diabetes imposes certain limits, but can be very flexible if you know the right ways to deal with it. Act like this will improve, for sure, your health.

If your dizzy, when you exercise in an upright position, you can choose to practice swimming. Swimming can be very pleasant and relaxing, and one of this activity’s effects is the muscle toning and health.

If you have retinopathy, you should avoid exercise with weights because it raises suddenly your blood pressure and impact upon your health could be very negative.

Choose exercises with less impact on the legs because of the risk of diabetic neuropathy! Wearing appropriate and very comfortable shoes will improve your leg health!

Warm up well before exercise, at least 5-10 minutes!

Exercise modify metabolism in a positive way, improving your health! Studies show that sports help to reduce levels of fat in the liver who complicate the disease. For this to happen, the diabetic must take certain measures.

Measure your blood glucose before and after exercise! sometimes even during exercise!

Signs of hypoglycemia are: dizziness, tremors, cols sweats, double vision! Learn to treat quickly about of hypoglycemia!

It is better for your health to do your session after an hour or two after you eat!

Drink ;lots of water! Water can contain a little sugar to prevent your blood sugar from dropping too far. For a better health is recommended 1.5 liters/day.

If you have type 2 diabetes, do your exercise in the morning! If you have type 1 diabetes make the exercise in the evening! Avoid doing exercise during a peak of insulin secretion, because these could effect in a negative way for your health!

The gym staff must be informed of your condition before you you start your activity!

You must be rested before you start training! A quiet and restful sleep bring you more energy and stamina!

I believe with these simply tips your on your way to a healthy

It’s Time To Wake Up!!! NOW…Before It’s Too Late…

11 05 2011

Diabetes is a silent Killer!!! It preys on one body like an animal in the wild. It can take away one’s limbs, eyes and also eat away one’s organs. This deadly disease is capable of many things to create havoc on one’s life. It is important to remember not to ignore this lethal disease for it won’t ignore and spare ANYONE!!!

The general population doesn’t regard diabetes as the silent killer, but the medical community does. Diabetes is one of the TOP 10 Killers in the medical world and diabetic heart disease account for most deaths. Due to the vague and subtle symptoms that are typical of diabetes, it is one of the most common undiagnosed diseases.

It doesn’t kill you suddenly, but high blood sugar levels gradually damage all the blood vessels throughout the body, sometimes for years before one gets diagnosed. It is also associated with other silent killers, namely hyper tensions and high cholesterol.

Consider this once one is diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, he has to spend the rest of his or her life injecting themselves with insulin several times a day, have an increased chance of contracting cardiovascular disease, blindness and loss of limbs. Isn’t that enough to classify this deadly disease as a Silent Killer?

According to a survey, more than 80 years have elapsed since the discovery of insulin, a hormone that has changed this lethal disease into a chronic yet manageable condition or has it? Despite this diabetics still have a life expectancy of 12 years less than the average.

Now this is my question too you?

If you know you have diabetes or any other disease. Why the heck will you not  do whatever you can do To SAVE YOUR LIFE?

Impact of Exercise and Nutrition for Diabetes

22 02 2011

Diabetes is a killer. So many people in the world have it and all of them will tell you that it is something that restricts you from doing many things that you love. It is a condition in which the body does not make enough insulin. In other type of diabetes, the body can produce insulin but fails to use it properly.

There are essentially two type diabetes, the type 1 and type 2. Type 1 diabetes occurs when your body does not produce insulin. Type 2 diabetes occurs when your body does not produce enough insulin or of your body does not use the insulin.

What insulin does is to let the sugar from digested food enter the cells and be used as energy to fuel the body’s activities. When there is no insulin or if the body does use it properly, the sugar from the food builds up in the blood instead of entering into the cells. When this happens, serious health complications can occur.

Here, we will be discussing how nutrition and exercise can help reduce the pains and complications of diabetes. Being in the know not only lets you take control of your life, it is also fulfilling and it will allow you to do things the right way.

   Nutrition and Diabetes:

To address this imbalance, it is important to watch what you eat. Too much sugar will worsen your diabetes because it expedites the build up of sugar in your bloodstream. Although there is no specific diet that is applicable to everybody, the main drive of nutrition for people with diabetes is to take about 60% of calories from carbohydrates, 20% from protein, and 30% from good fat.

This combination controls the sugar level in the blood and therefore lessens the risk of complications. As you control the foods you eat, you are also controlling your intake of sugar and you are therefore helping your body cope with the digestion and absorption of sugar into the cells. To know more about what foods to eat, you need to speak to a nutritionist and a doctor because every has a different level of insulin and sugar reaction.

   Exercise and Diabetes:

People with diabetes are encouraged to exercise. This is one great activity that is completely free of expense and yet it can do wonders for a diabetics condition.

When you exercise, the body’s insulin sensitivity is increased. Combined with proper nutrition mentioned above, the body will be a lot more normal in terms of sugar processing. Sugar metabolism improves and as a result it also decreases body fat.

Another main benefit of exercise, specifically on weight or strength training, is that it increases the body’s sugar uptake. This forces the body to use the insulin and deliver the glucose into the cells as opposed to letting it clog the blood. Just a word of caution, though. When a diabetic person exercises, he should be very careful not to be injured. For anyone with diabetes, any sore or blister can easily get infected.

Environmental Factors Cause Diabetes

2 01 2011

The sole reason for developing diabetes is not over eating any more. New research has shown that metals can affect the insulin  receptor sites in the body causing the beta cells in the pancreas to be damaged. This affects the body’s ability to produce insulin which is required to absorb the glucose that gets released into the blood stream during the process of digestion and convert it into energy for the use of the body.

Chemicals reactions are triggered in the body when cadmium, mercury, arsenic, lead, fluoride and possibly aluminium stimulate the auto immune reaction which causes the destruction of beta cells in the pancreas after they bond with the beta cells. Thus the soldier which should protect the body end up destroying the cells which have these foreign particles attached to them.

The morphological changes get provoked in the body which has these metals attached at vulnerable junctures of proteins in the body. That is why it can be safely said that environmental factors can have a profound effect on the actual onset of diabetes due to being the culprits which actually triggers the auto immune response which destroys the beta cells. So eating a lot and not getting enough exercise may not be the only reasons why you get diabetes.
